LEWISTON — Monica Shepardson of Hewey Street, Lisbon Falls, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, at Marshwood Nursing Home following a long illness.
She was born in Lisbon, March 31, 1937, the daughter of Ernest and Marguerite (Gallant) Moore. She attended Catholic schools in Lisbon and Lewiston and graduated from the Biddeford Pool High School.
She worked for 25 years at St. Mary’s Hospital as a laboratory technician in the histology department until her retirement at the age of 62.
A member of Holy Trinity Church in Lisbon, Monica enjoyed gardening, quilting, making crafts and especially enjoyed her cat.
She is survived by her husband Howard “Shep” Shepardson of 52 years, whom she married on June 25, 1960; her children, Debra Conrad and husband, James, of Brunswick, Linda Shepardson of Lisbon Falls and James Shepardson and wife, Connie, of Durham; her seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Ricky Shepardson in 1985; her brother, Philip Moore; and sisters, Sister Celia Moore and Lucy Chabot.
