LEWISTON — Alice May Gardner, 87, formerly of Freeport, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, at d’Youville Pavilion.
Alice was born July 24, 1925, in Norway, to Burton and Della Truman.
After retiring from Eastland Shoe Factory in Freeport, Alice enjoyed the outdoors and traveled around Maine camping and fishing.
She remained in Freeport until her health deteriorated and in 2008, she became a long-term resident of d’Youville Pavilion.
She is survived by several friends.
She was predeceased by an older sister, Florence Mullen; as well as two older brothers, Burton and Ernest Truman.
