AUBURN — Kevin Kavookjian, MD, has been recently named medical director for Health Affiliates Maine, a statewide provider of outpatient counseling and case management services.
Kavookjian earned his medical degree at the St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his residency in psychiatry and was chief resident at Stony Brook University Medical Center in Stony Brook, N.Y. Most recently, he was the chief of psychiatry at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford. He is currently on staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
Kavookjian is board certified in psychiatry from the American Board of Psychiatry, and neurology licensed in both Maine and New York. He also received certification in electroconvulsive therapy from Columbia University in New York.
Health Affiliates Maine is based in Auburn with staff and affiliates covering all areas of the state. They specialize in case management services for children and their families and adults as well as outpatient therapy services for children, adults, families and groups.
