DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m smack in the middle of putting the finishing touches on a queen-size guilt that I started a year ago for a young lady as a wedding gift.

I created my own pattern using the scriptural method, since she and her husband are involved in the ministry.

However, I’ve run into a snag putting the inner lining together and would greatly appreciate it if one or more persons can give me a call and give me some suggestions for the finishing touches.

In the past your column has given me so many wonderful ideas. Now I need your help again. — Connie, Rumford, 418-4887

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have instructions for a confetti quilt and a very large supply of new 100 percent cotton scraps that I would like to donate. This would also be suitable for a crazy guilt or potholders, etc. Please call 784-7732 and leave a name and number. — No Name, Auburn

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for someone who knits adult sweaters. Specifically I am looking for one to have two snowmen on the front. I would want the sweater to be finished at least one week before Christmas, if not sooner. I want it to be made of a very good yarn that will last through wear/wash and be top-quality knitting. I would want to see the person’s work in person myself before hiring them to knit the sweater. — Stephanie, 783-8472, mainegourmet@roadrunner.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am a teacher in Oxford Hills. We have received a great donation of many skeins of new yarn. I am hoping that there may be some knitting needles or crochet hooks that could be donated too. We need needles in sizes 8, 9 and 13, and crochet hooks in size 8. I would love to teach the students a great life skill. Thanks. Deb Johnson, debbie_johnson@sad17.k12.me.us

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I create and alter an abundance of costumes for my church’s plays and programs. I could really use an adjustable dress form to aid me in the ministry. Could you please assist me in finding an affordable dress form? — Peggy Pinkham, 491-3004, pegasourus@hotmail.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Recently someone wrote in asking for people interested in sewing at home. Due to some type of protocol, no number or address was given for that person. I would be very interested in that type of work, and hope the jobs are still open. I am sure others would be interested in this type of endeavor also. — hollyd49@hotmail.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots could not present that information because the offer was for paying jobs, which is classified as an advertisement. You might keep an eye on the classifieds to see if she placed an ad for those jobs.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: For smelly clothing (Oct. 22), one might also try Odo-Ban sold at Home Depot. — No Name, Peru

DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Oct. 23 a reader asked about pictures of the specialty balloons that have been featured at the Great Falls Balloon Festival over the last several years. I have purchased some wonderful photography by Bob Orsillo, a local artist photographer at Fine Art America. He does feature several of the specialty balloons. His hot air balloons can be viewed at this website: http://tinyurl.com/akowezn

I do know there will be even more specialty balloons photos added in the next week or so.

Hope this helps your reader, and thanks for being there, I read your column daily and always find interesting questions and answers. — No Name via email

ANSWER: Since the lady who requested the photos is not online, Sun Spots searched for a phone number of address, but that search was in vain. The only other suggestion she has is for the balloon fan to go to the library and get the librarian to help her look up the photos.
