MUTT STRUTTERS RAISE OVER $9,600

LEWISTON — The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society held its 16th annual Strutt Your Mutt Dog Walk and Dash for Dogs 5K on Sept. 15 at the Auburn Petco.

Walkers were asked to collect pledges, and they generated more than $9,600 in proceeds. All funds raised through the event will go directly to the homeless, abandoned and abused animals at the shelter.

The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, located at 55 Strawberry Ave., provides a safe haven for more than 5,500 sick, homeless and abused animals a year. Primary support comes from fundraising events and donations.
