PARIS — Area veterans are encouraged to submit photos from when they were in the service for inclusion in the Veterans Day program to be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

Sponsored by the Foster Carroll Post 72, American Legion, the program will include a musical tribute to the five branches of the armed forces, guest speaker Congressman Mike Michaud and the community.

Special guest will be Dane Tripp, a wounded combat veteran, recently retired second-in-command of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.

A slide show will highlight photos of area veterans, with a special tribute to those who lost their lives while in the service defending the country.

There is still time to get photos to the post by mailing them to P.O. Box 215, South Paris, ME 04281, or by dropping them off at Oxford Hills Law during normal working hours at 197 Park St., South Paris.
