NORWAY — Jennifer Dilworth won the race for Oxford County Register of Probate on Tuesday.
Dilworth received 14,207 votes to 12,567 for Carol Gutekunst, according to tabulations by the Bangor Daily News.
A total of 26,740 of 41,137 registered voters in Oxford County cast ballots.
Dilworth won most of the larger towns, including Norway with 1,237 votes to Gutekunst’s 1,114.
In Paris, Dilworth received 1,252 to Gutekunst’s 1,070.
Oxford gave Dilworth a 1,122 to 764 edge.
Bethel gave Dilworth 729 votes and Gutekunst 671.
Otisfield favored Dilworth 546-347.
Dilworth polled 302 votes to 280 for Gutekunst in Lovell, and 432 to 371 in Waterford and 421 to 375 in West Paris.
But Gutekunst tallied higher numbers in Rumford, receiving 1,287 votes to Dilworth’s 1,237. In Fryeburg she received 735 to Dilworth’s 717 votes.
Dilworth said late Tuesday night she was grateful for the support she received.
