LEWISTON — Garrett MacKenzie Clark, son of Sharon and Bobby Clark of Lewiston, attended officer training in July in Seattle, Wash., graduating in Recondo at the top of his class. He received best all-around performance in Warrior Forge achieving among the highest scores in all tasks including confidence and assault course, land navigation, marksmanship, individual tactics training and situational training exercise leadership. He was also named as a member of the Honor Platoon at Warrior Forge.
Garrett is a 2009 graduate of Lewiston High School. With the combination of an ROTC scholarship from the high school ROTC program, being a member of the Honor Society, and his earning Eagle Scout, he was invited by his colonels during his first visit to attend Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah, on full scholarship. He now attends Husson College and will graduate with a criminal justice degree. Garrett continues to grow in the University of Orono ROTC and now plans programs geared toward training cadets.
