Lewiston

* Vehicles driven by Christopher J. Moreau, 36, of Litchfield, and Michael R. Babine, 57, of Lewiston, collided at 5:39 p.m. Thursday on Lisbon Street at South Avenue. Moreau’s 2000 Saab was towed. Damage to Babine’s 2010 Ford was listed as functional.

Auburn

* Eric A. Pepin, 38, of Auburn, lost control of his SUV, which rolled over an embankment and came to rest against a tree at 10:06 a.m. Thursday on Washington Street between Chasse Street and Beech Hill Road. Pepin suffered injuries to his hip and legs and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, according to a police report. His 2002 Chevrolet was towed.

* A van driven by Jennifer A. McLaughlin, 27, of Lewiston, struck the back of a car driven by Naomi L. Heuer, 20, of Bowdoin, after Heuer had stopped for a traffic light at 5:07 p.m. Thursday on Center Street. According to an accident report, McLaughlin told police she tried to stop but that her brakes had failed on the wet street. Her 1999 Dodge was towed. Damage to Heuer’s 1992 Honda was listed as functional.
