RUMFORD — The local group Here 2 Help Services will host a business and craft fair at 49 Franklin on Sunday, Nov. 18.

The event is free and open to the public, and will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. According to Christina Gammon, responsible for developing Here 2 Help Services and the business fair, there are currently 26 businesses scheduled to appear.

“We’ve got quite a variety of businesses,” Gammon said. “There’s a Web designer, a computer technician, a florist, a masseuse, even a business offering psychic readings.”

Each business will have free samples for those who attend, along with items to purchase, door prizes and individual raffles. Gammon said since the business fair is being hosted at 49 Franklin, pub food from its kitchen will be available. There will also be crafts for purchase at certain vendors.

Gammon has high hopes that the business fair will have a good turnout, especially after her first fair in Wilton was successful.

“This is my first year doing these fairs,” Gammon said. “The Wilton one went pretty good, and I’ve done a lot more advertising for this one.”

Gammon said that by hosting this business fair she “wanted to keep it local and give people a chance to shop locally for the holidays.”

Gammon also mentioned that representatives for the company ViSalus will be at the business fair. According to Gammon, ViSalus is a company that markets nutritional shakes geared toward weight loss.

Other companies sending representatives to the business fair include Rodan and Fields, a company that sells skincare products, and Scentsy, a scented candle company.

There will also be a booth for Moosehead Area Rentals, a company that rents out properties in Northern Maine, particularly on the waterfront and woodland regions.
