AUBURN — The Androscoggin Chapter of the Maine Women’s Network invites members, guests and the general public to its next meeting, Dec. 12, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn. 

The program will feature Klara Tammany of the Center for Wisdom’s Women. With story, reflections and conversation, Tammany will focus on what she, the Companions (the core volunteers whose task it is to help nurture a non-anxious, non-judgmental listening presence), and the women who visit the Center have learned about the power of listening. She will also share resources they have found helpful for becoming a better listener and will include a short PowerPoint presentation on the mission of The Center for Wisdom’s Women.

The lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. Cost for the event is $16 for members, $20 for nonmembers and includes everything. Nonmembers are always welcome. Members are encouraged to register their guests in advance for the member rate.
