A Medieval Fest was held Friday night at Greene Elementary School, put on by the Gateway class of gifted and talented students under the direction of teacher Phyllis Rains. The students prepared written reports on the different roles in the medieval kingdom, from jester to knight, and made models of castles, armor and battle weapons. The purpose of the project was to familiarize the children with research and organization and study tools like the dictionary. In a photo, King Adam Roy prepares to knight a serf, as Queen Jamie Roy watches.
