PORTLAND — Zemya, a women’s a cappella ensemble based in southern and mid-coast Maine, will perform Friday, Dec. 1, at the Maine Jewish Museum.

The group blends edgy harmonies in a repertoire that celebrates folk traditions from around the globe.

Zemya shares its name and spirit with the Bulgarian name for “earth.”

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Suggested donation: $12 at the door. The museum is at 267 Congress St.
