Masons offer free Thanksgiving meal

FARMINGTON — For the 10th year the Augusta Valley Scottish Rite Masons will be furnishing a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner to the Franklin County Area on Thursday, Nov. 22, at the Mt. Blue High School Cafeteria from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone is welcome. The group will also be delivering dinners to home bound people.

Make a reservation for a dinner to be delivered for yourself or someone else by calling Gerry Gilman at 649-5449 by Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Thanksgiving bake sale Nov. 21

FARMINGTON — A Thanksgiving bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Pinewood Terrace, 136 Rosewood Drive (behind the fairgrounds).

All proceeds will benefit resident activities. For information call 779-0511.

Breakfast dates announced

RANGELEY — There will not be a Ladies/Community Breakfast on Nov. 21 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The next breakfast will be on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Rangeley Lakes Bed and Breakfast on Main Street from 7 to 9 a.m.

Anyone with a special dietary need is asked to call in advance so they can accommodate your needs. For more information call 864-9944.

FAYETTE — Fayette Community Thanksgiving Dinner will take place Thursday, Nov. 22, at 4 p.m. until everybody’s full, at Starling Hall, Main Street.

The meal is free of charge; donations welcome.

USDA Working Group meeting

WILTON — There will be a meeting of the Franklin County USDA Local Working Group on Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wilton Town Office, Route 156. The public is encouraged to attend.

Local Working Groups provide recommendations to the District Conservationist of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service  on local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. Topics of discussion will include ag waste, forestry, pasture and cropland. Other issues and areas of concern may be discussed as well.

The Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District will work with the group on priorities recognized that can not be addressed through USDA programs.
