LEWISTON — Conrad W. Chateauvert, 72, a resident of Lane Road, Greene, died Friday, Nov. 16, at Marshwood Health Care Center in Lewiston, with his family by his side.

He was born Sept. 8, 1940, in Lewiston, the son of Elzlor J. and Dorothy L. Mower Chateauvert. Conrad attended school in Greene and Lewiston. On Aug. 25, 1962, Conrad and Judy Wood of Sabattus were married.

He worked in the construction business for Stewart and Williams Construction and then known as the Salters Corp. in Augusta; he was a member of the Laborers Union. Conrad loved the many trips he took with his family. He loved snowmobiling and working in his garden, was a New York Giants fan and Red Sox fan. He always loved to be outdoors and really enjoyed country music.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of Greene; two daughters, Laurie Ryan of Sabattus and Stacey Murdock and husband, Todd of Greene; a son, Glenn Chateauvert and wife, Dawn of Greene; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard of Greene; six sisters, Dorothy Buckley and husband, Raymond, Dell Farris and husband, George, Mary Casper and husband, Richard, Janice Brewer and her longtime companion, Bernard Bates, Glenice Bubier and Elaine Knowles.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Carroll.
