Members of Maine-ly Harmony women’s a cappella barbershop chorus are competing at their organization’s, Harmony Inc.’s, international competition in Orlando, Fla., on Nov. 17. Choruses and quartets who scored high in their area competitions last spring traveled to the Disney World area from all over the U.S. and Canada. The local chorus, which rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 at Togus VA in Augusta, will be cheering on Sister Act in the quartet competition, which features two of its members, sisters Andrea and Amanda Hutchings. Upon their return, chorus members will dive into several Christmas performances in the area, including one for the veterans at Togus on Dec. 19, the Gardiner Tree Lighting at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1, and their show, A Maine-ly Harmony Christmas, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 209 Eastern Ave., Augusta, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.
