AUBURN — Two New Auburn parks and an athletic field are the newest drug-free zones in the city, councilors agreed Monday.

The city currently lists all schools and 26 parks as drug-free zones. People convicted of drug offenses that occur within 1,000 feet of those zones face stiffer penalties.

Councilors agreed to add three new parks to that list — Tribou Field, Sullivan Square and Little Andy Park.

Tribou Field is the athletic field north of East Auburn School on Oak Hill Road.

Sullivan Square and Little Andy Park are along the Little Androscoggin River in New Auburn. Sullivan Square is the grassy area of South Main Street behind Rolly’s Diner. Little Andy Park is at the corner of Pulsifer and Second streets.
