1933 – 2012

SABATTUS — Dorothy Adelaide (Keith) Nickerson, 79, loving wife of the late George Calvin Nickerson, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 17.

She was born June 20, 1933 in Hermon, the daughter of Alden H. Keith Sr. and Adelaide R. (Fryer) Keith. Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker and lovingly raised her five children and a nephew.

She enjoyed singing, playing the violin, cello, organ and piano and watching the birds on the river from her window. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and attended the Sabattus Community Church, teaching classes and playing the organ.

She was predeceased by her sister, Marion Marshall and her brother, Alden H. Keith, Jr.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Mark and his wife, Sandy, of Dedham, Donald and his wife, Lorraine, of McAdam, New Brunswick, and Noto, Ishikawa, Japan, Janet and her longtime partner, Edward Brown, of Sabattus, Nancy and her husband, Shawn Edwards, of Hebron, and Rebecca and her husband, Ronald Edgerly, of Sabattus; a nephew, Bryan Marshall of Bangor; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
