PARIS — A jury found a Winslow man not guilty of gross sexual assault Tuesday in Oxford County Superior Court.
Peter P. Cayouette, 37, was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in July 2011. On Monday and Tuesday, the girl and her friends and family members testified against Cayouette.
After more than an hour of deliberation, the jury found Cayouette not guilty.
Cayouette, a Winslow native, was living in West Paris last year when the incident allegedly occurred. He was indicted in February.
