1962- 2012

AUBURN — Donald L. Boucher, 50, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston, March 22, 1962, the son of Joseph A. and Rita (Maillet) Boucher.

He was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1980, where he played for the hockey team. On May 10, 1986, he married the former Dianne Simard in Auburn. He then went on to work for many years for the Cote Crane Corp. He was currently the owner of Sabattus House of Pizza.

He was also the coach of the varsity girls Hockey team at St. Dominic Academy and former longtime coach of Rousseau’s Hockey Clinic. He was a parishioner of Holy Family Church, loved boating on Brandy Pond, Long Lake and Sebago Lake and enjoyed sport cars.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph A. and Rita Boucher of Lewiston; his wife, Dianne Boucher; one daughter, Kasey D. Boucher of Boston, Mass.; one son, Ryan J. Boucher of Lewiston; his mother-in-law, Julie Simard of Auburn; his godmother, Millie Duchesneau of Shrewsbury, Mass.; two brothers, Richard “Butch” Boucher and his wife, Gail of Lewiston and Gary Boucher and his wife, Tina of Turner; four nieces; five nephews; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and many cousins.

The family wishes to thank family members and many close friends for their support during Don’s illness. It will not be forgotten.
