1989-2012
PERU — Jake Troy Pomeroy, 23, of Dixfield, died in the early morning hours of Thursday Nov. 22, 2012, in Peru as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born March 15, 1989, in Farmington, Maine. He was a 2007 graduate of Dirigo High school, where he was a member of the football team. He attended both CMCC and SMCC. He was previously employed at Advance Auto Parts in Mexico and recently accepted a position at the New Balance Factory in Norway.
Jake was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling. He always looked forward to seasonal camping trips with family and friends and particularly enjoyed visiting with his friends and talking around the campfire. He was a former member of the Jay/Livermore Falls Hunting Club. Among many, Jake was considered a faithful friend.
He is loved and will be missed by his parents, Mike and Ronda Palmer of Dixfield; Troy Pomeroy and Jean Burnham of Livermore Falls; two sisters, Morgan Palmer and Kylie Palmer, both of Dixfield; two brothers, Benjamin “Ben” Pomeroy and Jordan Pomeroy, both of Livermore Falls; his grandparents, Lillian Wight of Jay, Donald “Buster” Pomeroy of Jay and Theresa Pomeroy of Livermore Falls; Dennis and Cathy Palmer of New Sharon and Ginny Palmer of Fairfield; great-grandmothers, Florence Gilman and Pauline Robichaud; uncles and aunt, Barry and Debra Jackson of York; uncle Mitch Palmer of Nashville, TN; uncle Derick Pomeroy of Livermore Falls and aunt Chris Demers of Manchester, N.H.; cousins; Britni, Nick, Brandon, Julia and Devan, and his girlfriend, Shelby Osgood.
He was predeceased by his grandfather, Gerald Wight and great-grandparents, Lucien Pomeroy and Celena Jacques.
