AUBURN — Lucille Nadeau Bazinet, 90, a resident of Albert St., in Lewiston died early Thursday morning at the Hospice House following a short illness with family by her side.
She was born in Fort Kent on February 8, 1922 the daughter of Damase and Elodie (Daigle) Nadeau.
She moved to Lewiston many years ago and was employed at Bates Mill for 43 years where she met her husband, Gene, whom she married August 30, 1946.
While in Lewiston, she was a member of Holy Cross Church, Ste. Croix Senior Citizens, Lewiston Senior Citizens, La Survivance Francaise, and Covenant 50 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Lucille most of all loved her family and always looked forward to family reunions. She was an avid Red Sox fan, a great gardener, and loved playing cards and doing puzzles. She’ll be fondly remembered as an avid “collector.”
Survivors include two sons, James R. Bazinet and wife Theresa of Lewiston, and Daniel P. Bazinet and wife, Lisa of San Francisco, CA.; two daughters, Nancy L. Ferryall and husband, Charles, of Newburgh, NY, and Louise S. Woods and husband, Edwin, of Lewiston; one brother, Alberie Nadeau of Fort Kent; two sisters, Lorraine Boucher of Hingham, MA., and Janelle Madore of Fort Kent; one daughter in law, Linda Bazinet of Holden, MA.; nine grandchildren, Steven, Stacey, Lindsey, Brian, Renee, Kevin, Dominic, Scott and Eric, one great granddaughter, Emma.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Bazinet on Sept. 24, 1988 as well as 8 brothers and sisters.
