1928 – 2012
LEWISTON — Carmen M. Beaulieu, 84, of Lisbon Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 24, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born July 22, 1928, in Grand Isle, one of 10 children of Levite and Emma (Beaulieu) Beaulieu.
She moved to the Lewiston area in 1943 with her family to work in the mills and brick yards. She worked for many years for Stearns Meat Packing on Washington Street in Auburn and prior to her retirement worked at Lepage Bakery.
Carmen loved life and especially her family. She enjoyed playing cards, making countless puzzles and loved going to the casino. She had no children of her own, but she sure made all of her nieces and nephews feel like they were all of her children. She was a very special person, a one of a kind who always spoke her mind, which is one of the many things we all loved about her.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Sabattus.
She will be missed by her best friend and partner of 40 years, Robert St. Amand, and her cats, Buttons and Trouble. She is survived by her brothers, John and wife, Shirley, of Coventry, Conn., and Joseph and wife, Juliette, of Lewiston; and by her countless nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Merilda Cyr and Lorett McKeen; and brothers, Nazair, Eustach, Camill, Ned and Richard.
Aunt Carmen, you will be sadly missed by all of us. Through the years you have touched all of our lives, including another generation of great-grandnieces and nephews. You were a great and amazing aunt. Thank you for always being there. Love you always.
