DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have two identical kitchen chairs that I have had for years. Recently one of the legs of one chair was broken. I would like to have it repaired if possible. Do you know anyone in the area who repairs furniture? Thank you for your help. — Jackie, Lewiston
ANSWER: Sun Spots knows of one: Morin’s Fine Furniture Refinishing, 25 Beech St., Lewiston. 782-7511. If anyone else wants to offer their furniture repair services, please write to Sun Spots.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: This letter is for No Name, Turner, who wrote Nov. 9 looking for old newspapers. I have almost every paper from Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, to Tuesday, July 8, 2008. I would be glad to let her have any paper that she wants. — Donald Hamlin, Wilton, 645-4578
DEAR SUN SPOTS: That man who needs better fitting underwear (Nov. 26) might try Duluth Trading Co., as it is clothing for workmen. I don’t have a catalog right now, but I can say that their clothes are very well made and wear well. — No Name via email
ANSWER: Sun Spots checked out their website, www.duluthtrading.com, and is sorry to report that they also use small, medium and large for their sizes, but they do have a large selection.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: We are responding to the person looking for sleigh rides (Nov. 20).
We own Meadow Creek Farm and have a team of 2,000-pound Belgian horses that pull a small five-seat sleigh. This is a lot of fun for a winter sport.
We also do wagon rides year round and have a wedding carriage to do wedding or other special occasions.
Right now we are doing free wagon rides from 1 to 7 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday up until Christmas LL Bean’s in Freeport.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: If Simone L. (Nov 24) gets more than one 1958 Lewiston High School yearbook offered to her, I would like to have one as well. Thank you so much. I read your column every day. — J.V. via email
DEAR SUN SPOTS: We noticed readers asking about where they can find background checks/background information (Nov. 23).
Corporate Intelligence is a local company offering various investigative services for our clients. We provide pre-employment screening along with a variety of investigative options.
We work primarily with employers and attorneys but would like to put ourselves out there as a resource for investigative information. — Corporate Intelligence, email@corporateintelligenceinc.com, 783-0000
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a Langle family that lived on Falmouth Street in Rumford years ago. Their grandfather was Aphonse Roy.
I have a picture of the family that they might like to have. One of the boys was named Robert, and one of the girls was Pauline. If they would like this picture, they can call me at 562-4570. — No Name, Dixfield
