AUBURN — Roberta Richards, 69, a resident of East Jay Road, Jay, passed away, Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Hospice House of Androscoggin with her family by her side following a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Livermore, the daughter of Lloyd and Helen (Bryant) Ware. She attended school in Livermore.

On July 1, 1967, in Wilton, she married her husband of 45 years, Donald Richards of Jay. Roberta devoted her life to her family, also serving as a foster child parent for 20 years.

She enjoyed gardening, but especially caring for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Richards of Jay; three daughters, Lynne Daigle and her husband, Craig, of Brunswick, Shelby Richards of Lewiston and Tessa Richards of Jay; three grandchildren, Adam Daigle, Sierra Richards and Sophie Morton; her sisters, Judy Libby and her husband, Jack, of Wilton and Roxanne Tremblay and her husband, Will, of Turner.
