FARMINGTON — Herbert Fuller, 83, a resident of Pinewood Road, Jay, died Friday, Nov. 30, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 7, 1929, in Jay, the son of Nelson and Florence (Whynot) Fuller. He was a 1947 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.
On October 2, 1949, he married his wife of 63 years, Vivian Wilkins of Livermore Falls. Herbie worked for International Paper Company at the Otis Mill in Jay as a machine tender on 9 and 11, retiring in 1974. He was a member of the International Paper Quarter Century Club and enjoyed traveling; he and his wife, Vivian, had wintered in Florida for 24 years.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Fuller of Jay; his son, Barry Fuller and his wife, Laurie of West Bowdoin; four daughters, Jaynee Metcalf of Toms River, N.J., Lana Driscoll and her husband, Jack of Livermore, Gayline Shorey and her husband, Tim of Havertown, Pa. and Lezlie Richards and her husband, Rick of Jay; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his brother, Zelmon Fuller of Bradenton, Fla.; and two sisters, Jennie Hoops and her husband, Francis of Bradenton, Fla., and Zara Briggs of Yarmouth.
He was predeceased by Earl and Maurice Fuller.
