OVIEDO, Fla. — Roland Berg, 87, of Oviedo, Fla., formerly of New Milford, N.J.. passed away on Dec. 3.

He was born in New York City and raised in the Bronx. Roland proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He earned the Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal, American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and Aerial Gunner Wings.

Roland graduated from Pace University with an accounting degree and worked at the IRS as an auditor before retirement. He was a member of the New Milford Ambulance Corps, American Legion and BPOE Lodge 2290.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, June (nee Sears); son, Ronald and his wife, Rosanne; daughter, Sheila Underwood and her husband, Gary; and grandchildren, Phillip, David and Victoria.

He was the brother of the late Harold Berg.
