HAVERHILL, Mass. — Bruce James Curato, 62, formerly of Rumford, passed away at his home in Haverhill, Mass., Thursday, Nov. 29.
He was born in Rumford, Sept. 28, 1950, the son of Lawrence and Adelia (Meisner) Curato and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1968.
He worked at Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Co. as an electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers System Council No. 7, Local 674. Bruce was a self-taught musician, with his main obsession the guitar.
Survivors include his brothers, Michael Dane Curato and wife, Marie, of Rumford and Randy Curato and wife, Mary Pat, of Wheaton, Ill.; sisters, Andrea Goff and husband, Del, of New Castle, Del., and Carla Beaudoin and husband, Marc, of Gorham; nieces, Tracy, Cara, Lani, Maria, Bailey, Julia and Anna; a nephew, Cory; and his former wife, Beverly Romano, and her son, Jason, of Haverhill, Mass.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister.
Bruce will be sadly missed by many friends, relatives and co-workers and be remembered as “Rumford Red.”
