Coach: Nate Pelletier (eighth year)
Last year’s record: 8-10
Returning players: Seniors — Abbie Eastman (5-4 guard), Alex Rowe (5-8 forward), Molly Johnson (6-0 center), Kelsey DeBlois (5-9 forward); Juniors — Brooke Murch (5-10 forward), Crystal West (5-6 guard), Claire Gregory (5-8 forward); Sophomores — Kerseyanne Goyette (5-3 guard), Anna Winslow (5-11 forward), Mikayla Morin (5-7 guard).
Key losses: Abby Morton (guard), Ashley West (guard)
Promising newcomers: Senior — Merrissa Scarborough (5-7 guard); Sophomore — Shannon Kriger (5-9 forward); Freshmen — Tianna Sugars (5-11 center), Ally Hanley (5-4 guard), Jayden Colby (5-6 guard).
Outlook: The Vikings graduated just two players and have an experienced core back. Eastman, an all-conference guard, is a driving force in the back court while the Vikings also have some size in the post with Rowe, Johnson, DeBlois, Murch and Winslow. Rowe was also a KVAC pick. After another near-miss of a playoff spot, the Vikings could contend for a tournament spot.
Coach’s comment: “We are a very athletic group that has high expectations. We feel we can compete with all teams in the league. With some of the younger girls roles increasing, it will be fun to see the growth throughout the season,” — Coach Nate Pelletier
