POLAND SPRING — The wedding of Ashley Kristen Doyon and Matthew Raymond LaChance was held at 3:30 p.m. on June 9 at All Souls Chapel in Poland Spring. Christopher Pugh, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. LaChance is the daughter of Peter and Sandra Doyon of Lewiston. Mr. LaChance is the son of Rowena LaChance and Gary Doucette of Lewiston.

The bride wore a strapless ball gown with sweetheart neckline, taffeta pick-up skirt, with beaded metallic lace detail.

Kymberly Kirouac, college friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Laura Laverdiere, long-time friend of the couple, Sara St. Pierre, long-time friend of the bride, and Sarah Young, cousin of the bride. Amina Suleimon, daughter of the cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Performing the duties of best man was Justin LaChance, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Shawn LaChance, brother of the bridegroom, Eric Watson, long-time friend of the bridegroom, and Christopher Doyon, brother of the bride. Mahad Suleimon, son of the cousin of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston. The couple is planning a trip to Walt Disney World in February. The couple is residing in Sabattus.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Lewiston High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Community Partners in Lewiston.

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Lewiston High School and is employed at L.L. Bean Maine Hunting Shoe in Brunswick.
