MEXICO — The Police Department responded to 32 complaints over the last week.
Among the complaints were:
Arrests:
* At 12:46 a.m. Dec 10, police arrested Justin Jackson, 23, of Carthage on charges of domestic violence. He was released on $800 unsecured bail. He is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan 8, 2013.
Thefts:
* A Backkingdom Road resident reported at 1:42 p.m. Dec 9, that there was someone on his property attempting to cut down Christmas trees. Police tracked down the suspect and learned he was from out of state and was unaware that Christmas trees couldn’t be cut down without permission. The resident did not press charges and police issued the suspect a warning.
* A Harlow Hill resident reported at 1:33 p.m. Dec 6, that someone had forcibly entered his attached garage. Nothing was reported stolen, though the resident said his motorcycle had been knocked over. Damage to the motorcycle was estimated to be more than $1,000.
