DEAR DR. DONOHUE AND ROACH: I have hereditary dark circles under my eyes caused by thin skin. I have a 13-year-old daughter, and she has them, too. I read online that collagen cream would help but haven’t asked my doctor. Do you think that this would work? — LA via email

ANSWER: People often submit questions for Dr. Donohue (and now Dr. Roach) to Sun Spots, but they need to send them directly to the doctors. It used to be that letters were only accepted via U.S. mail at P.O. Box 536475, Orlando, FL 32853-6475. However, since Dr. Roach joined the endeavor, Sun Spots has noted an email address: ToYourGoodHealth@med.cornell.edu

Sun Spots steers clear of medical questions, as she is not qualified to answer them. But she did find a couple of websites that might interest you: darkcirclesresearch.com and www.mayoclinic.com/health/dark-circles-under-eyes/MY00346

ANSWER: Sun Spots frequently receives questions about repairing electronics. As far as she knows, there is no one in the region that does this, but she’d be pleased to be proved wrong. There appears to be two choices for broken electronics: send them to the manufacturer (if they offer service) or throw them away.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In October, someone asked what happened to the person who used to have a computer store at the Marketplace Mall. If the store in question was www.computers, I believe he relocated to Wheeler’s Market on South Main Street in Auburn. I don’t know if he is still there. — Marc Breton, doofus@gwi.net

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The person looking for the Titanic coin and a Lewis and Clark coin (Dec. 6) might want to try Littleton Coin Co. in Littleton, N.H. They carry both. They are a reputable business, have an extensive catalog and are worth the drive to the store. Their phone number is 1-800-645-3122, and they are online at littletoncoin.com. My grandson loves this place! 0151 No Name, Otisfield

DEAR SUN SPOTS: On Saturday, Dec. 8, there were many basketball games at Elm Street School. During the events when teams were leaving, the jacket and hat of a boy who has autism went missing. If by mistake someone happened to grab a navy blue LL Bean jacket and hat that wasn’t theirs, would you please contact me so I can pick them up and return them to the rightful owner? Thank you. — Natalie Kyllonen, bmbracing@gmail.com, 345-3073
