Singer Mike Willette appears onstage with the Dube sisters — Michelle, left, Bethany and Gabrielle — at a previous Christmas variety show.

LEWISTON — Mike Willette’s Christmas variety show, reminiscent of the family-popular Andy Williams variety shows of the 1960s-70s, will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Franco-American Heritage Center.

After opening with “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” a big hit for Williams back in 1963, Willette’s show replicates Williams’ variety show mix of songs, comedy, dance and celebrity guests. Other songs will include “O Holy Night,” “You Raise Me Up” and Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas.”

Joining Willette will be local performers Angela and Shawn Robitaille; Kathy Haley and her daughter, Shawna Haley Bear; and the Elizabeth Hansen Dancers. There will be appearances by Santa (played by Bruce Gerry), Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and many children.

The concert also features piano performances by three brothers from the Youth family: twins Eric and Ian, age 11, and Elliot 14. They’ll each take a turn playing the Franco Center’s Steinway concert grand piano.

The colorful, cheery production filled with yuletide song and holiday decor will be from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. This will be Willette’s 13th Christmas show over a 15-year span.

Tickets for reserved seating are $16 for adults/$14 for seniors and children under 12. Tickets may be purchased through Friday at the Franco Center box office at 46 Cedar St., by calling 689-2000 or online at francocenter.org. On Saturday, tickets will be available only at the door, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
