FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) — A special education administrator in a Massachusetts school district has been charged with posing as a teenage boy online in order to get explicit photos from a 15-year-old Maine girl.

Steven Orloff of Framingham, Mass., was arraigned Wednesday in Framingham District Court on charges of distribution of obscene matter and posing or exhibiting a child in the nude. He was held on $20,000 bail after pleading not guilty.

Law enforcement authorities in Maine are still investigating.

Prosecutors say the 47-year-old Orloff pretended to be a 14-year-old boy and persuaded the Cumberland County girl to send him photos of herself. He’s also charged with sending her explicit pictures that were not of him.

Orloff has been placed on leave by the Stoneham public schools, where he had little interaction with students.
