Members of the Junior League of Portland volunteered their time at the Good Shepherd Food-Bank in Auburn where more than 50 volunteers turned out for the third annual McDonald’s Breakfast Makes a Difference Day on Oct. 26 and 27. Maine McDonald’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine gathered more than 300 volunteers for the initiative. People across Maine generously donated their time to nearly 20 nonprofit organizations served by the RMHC of Maine. Participating nonprofit organizations across the state included Riding to the Top (Windham), Good Shepherd Food-Bank (Auburn), Camp Susan Curtis (Stoneham), The Telling Room (Portland), Camp Capella (Holden), Aid for Kids (Houlton), Ronald McDonald House (Portland and Bangor), Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Midcoast Maine, Bangor Y, Hardy Girls Healthy Women (Waterville), Family Crisis Services (Portland), Easter Seals (Portland), Broadreach Family Services (Belfast and Rockland), and Youthlinks (Rockland).
