AUBURN — Barbara I. Black, 81, a resident of Norway, passed away, Monday, Dec. 17, at the Hospice House, with family by her side.
She was born in Lisbon, July 27, 1931, daughter of Kenneth and Irene Jordon. She married Ralph Black Jr. on Aug. 6, 1949.
She worked at the Worumbo Mill in Lisbon then moved to Norway and worked at Paris Manufacturing and later at Pioneer Plastics in Auburn.
Barbara enjoyed going to the fairs with her oxen to pull in the Powder Puff. She also enjoyed family get-togethers and shopping.
She is survived by four daughters, Glenys King of Durham, Susan Flint and husband, Kerry, of Mechanic Falls, Melanie Riddle and husband, Barry, of Yarmouth and Patricia Curtis and husband, Walter, of Norway; two sons, Robert Black of Paris and Ralph Black and partner, Andrew Gorecki, of Saugus, Mass.; brother, Forrest Jordon of Sabattus; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Kenneth Jordon Jr.; sister, Glenys; grandson, Peter Milliken Jr.; and a great-grandson, Dakota Dugal.
