LEWISTON — The Police Department has opened registration for the 2013 Citizens Police Academy, to be held every Wednesday evening from Jan. 23 to March 27.

The academy is designed to introduce residents to various police department programs, skills and responsibilities. It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. for 10 weeks at the Police Department, 171 Park St.

Applications are available at the department, or by contacting Officer Patrick Griffin at 513-3001, ext. 3283 or [email protected]. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Jan. 9.

There is no cost to participate.
