LEWISTON — The Jesus Party Urban Youth Outreach is opening the ministry’s doors from 6 to 8:30 p.m. to area children on Monday, Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve, at their chapel at 291 Bates St.

Ministry directors Rev. Douglas and Sonia Taylor will host the annual event that will be sure to be a hit with the kids. The ministry will provide all those in attendance with party hats, leis and noise makers. The children will enjoy fun foods and lively singing in the atmosphere of strobe lights, disco balls and a smoking fog machine.

Rev. Taylor will share a lesson, “Let The Past Be The Past,” and children will be treated to a 50-minute VeggieTales film titled “The League Of Incredible Vegetables.”

Special contemporary suggestive exaggerated sign language dance will be performed and special music will be presented by ministry volunteer Kaitlyn Taylor. At the end of the event children will enjoy Shirley Temple beverages with all the fixings and door prizes. The ministry volunteers along with the children will have a toast to close out the last Jesus Party of 2012.

RSVP is required to attend; call 786-5568.
