LEWISTON — Roland “Lou” Biron, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Marshwood Health Care Facility, with his family by his side.
He was born in Lewiston, July 6, 1945, the son of Alphonse Biron and Yvette (Dumais) Brochu. Lou graduated from Lewiston High School in 1964 and attended both Wichita State in Kansas, and Salem State College in Massachusetts.
Lou was a forever LHS Blue Devil and Notre Dame fan. He loved watching high school sports and college football. He had a passion for boating, fishing and gardening. He enjoyed many summer days camping on Sebago Lake with his good friends and family. He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband and will be remembered and missed for his love of life and gentle heart.
Lou is survived by his wife, Gloria Biron of Lewiston; his children, Anna Bouchard and Raymond Cote of Lewiston and Nicole and Martin Rooney of Readfield; his grandchildren, Ryan and Nicholas Letourneau, Mariah Cote and Sawyer and Adalyn Rooney; his two great-grandchildren; his beloved brothers and sisters, Delores Preo, Richard Biron, Robert Biron, Joann and Reginald Janelle, Pauline Bosse, Donald and Claire Biron and Claudette Gervais.
