VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Stephen John Dillman, 22, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 15. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Jan. 27, 1990, in Portland, the son of Michelle and Christopher Dillman. Stephen loved the beach and all things outdoors.

A graduate of Salem High School, Virginia Beach. He later excelled as a pizza chef for Papa John’s Pizza.

Stephen was a very social and a beloved man and had a huge following of friends and family who will miss him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he survived by his biological father, Stephen Freve of Lewiston; his sister, April and brother, Brian, of Virginia; grandparents, Mary Freve of Lisbon Falls, Larry and Brenda Crowley and Edward and Judith Dillman; uncles, Scott Dillman, Brian Dillman and John O’Connell; aunts, Becca Dillman, Beth Cody, Peggy O’Connell and Lisa Kennedy.
