RUMFORD — Mary K. Beauchesne, 92, of Franklin Street, formerly of Urquhart Street, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at her residence.

She was born in Rumford, Aug. 17, 1920, a daughter of John and Mary (Lauronis) Kaubris. Mary was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1939. She was employed for 10 years at Rumford Hospital as an operating room aide.

Mary was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior and was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed summers at the family camp at Roxbury Pond. Mary loved knitting, crocheting and her weekly card games with the girls.

Surviving are her children, Karen A. Chouinard and husband, Peter, of Portland, Katherine M. Roy and husband, Ronald, of Lisbon, Alexander J. Beauchesne of Roxbury, Mary T. Cote and husband, Donald, of Errol, N.H., Paula Charette and husband, David, of Monmouth, Theodore J. Beauchesne of Dixfield and Joanne L. Gerdner and husband, David, of Ridgewood, N.J.; a sister, Amelia DeSalle of Rumford; a brother, Stanley Kaubris and wife, Alfreda, of Roxbury Pond and Sun City, Fla.; sister-in-law, Theresa Beauchesne of Rumford; and daughter-in-law, Andra Beauchesne of West Peru; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Paul Emile Beauchesne; a son, John “Skip” Beauchesne; and a brother, John Kaubris.
