LINCOLN, Mass. — Patricia Howe Page of Poland and Lincoln, Mass., 88, passed away on Monday, Dec. 10.
She was born Sept. 13, 1924, Patricia Louise Howe in Rutland, Vt., the daughter of the late Carleton and Dorothy (Howe). She attended the University of Chicago Laboratory schools and the Cambridge School of Weston, and is a graduate of Colorado College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in 1946. She graduated from the Boston School of Occupational Therapy. She worked at numerous hospitals in Massachusetts, and then served as director of the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.
While on a blind date at Walden Pond in Concord, Mass., she met her future husband, Lot B. Page. She traveled around the world with her late physician/anthropologist husband. She was a member of the Society of Women Geographers and the Harvard Travelers Club. She co-founded the Bead Designer International and loved crafts, books, bellydancing, and was known for her love of bats, beads, mushrooms, bee keeping and adventure travel. She had eclectic interests with a passion for knowledge; a wicked sense of humor; and angelic patience.
In the summer, she loved spending time at her family’s secluded wilderness cabin at Marshall Pond, Oxford. Later in life, she made her legacy with a commitment to conservation and had her 500-acre property surrounding Marshall Pond put into a conservation easement, creating the Page Family Community Forest.
Patty Page is survived by her daughter, Deborah Page of Lincoln, Mass.; two sons, Jesse Page of Lincoln, Mass., and John Page and his wife, Rebecca Doty, of Strafford, N.H.; four grandchildren, M. Spike and Isabel K. Peterson of Lincoln, Mass., and Carlton R. and Nicola Z. Page of Strafford, N.H.; son-in-law, Scott M. Peterson of Falmouth, Mass.; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth M. Page of South Carolina; her dear friend and beloved caretaker, Mark Arel, and the extended Arel family of Poland; her brother-in-law, Bryant R. Page of Acton, Mass., as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

PAGE — Patricia Howe of Poland and Lincoln, Mass., 88, passed away on Monday, Dec. 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, at The First Parish Church, 14 Bedford Road, Lincoln, Mass., followed by a graveside service at the Lincoln Cemetery, Lexington Road, Lincoln, Mass. After the graveside service, guests are invited to a gathering with food at the Paparazzi Restaurant, 768 Elm St., Concord, Mass.
