AUBURN — Clyde Bergemann Auburn, formerly Bachmann Industries, the air-gas handling division of Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas, announces it has hired Ken Rackliff as quality manager and Eric Shorey as design engineer.
Rackliff fills the newly created position to ensure adherence to the company’s stringent quality standards in anticipation of growth at the Auburn firm. He comes to CBAU from the American Bureau of Shipping in Bath with experience in welding and structural inspections, as well as classification and regulatory compliance. He previously worked as an engineer for Tidewater Marine in Louisiana.
Rackliff is a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marine engineering operations. He also holds a U.S. Coast Guard third assistant engineer’s license.
Shorey comes to the company from Applied Thermal Sciences in Sanford, where he worked in engineering and project management for 11 years. He has extensive experience in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics, with accomplishments in research and development.
Shorey is responsible for producing high quality design solutions and equipment for power generation and industrial customers around the world. He works with a team of project managers, project engineers, designers and drafters. His involvement in projects extends from project launch and specification review through final design, fabrication and shipment of air-gas handling equipment.
