I read about the shooting tragedy in Connecticut. I also read that the person’s mother owned several weapons.
I remember a gun-toting soccer mom, I think it was in Ohio. She would go to a soccer game walking her little girl (I believe the child was 5 years old), and she carried a pistol by her side. She claimed it was her right to have the weapon, just like the mother who owned those weapons in Connecticut.
Well, both women are dead now, one by her husband, one by her son. Plus, all those other children.
Sports are so violent. When I look at photos in the newspaper … a whole bunch of boys piled on top of each other on the ground, or the faces of girls fighting over a basketball … well, it turns me off. I don’t call that sport, it looks more like war.
I could also get a gun, get drunk or smoke pot, but I believe in God, so I am truly free … free to not make demands about the “right to bear arms.”
Oh, well, it is America, so it must be OK.
