1924 – 2012

ST. CLOUD, Fla. — Loretta Bushey, 88, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Dec. 15, at Southern Oaks Health Care Center in St. Cloud, Fla.

She was born April 13, 1924, in Lewiston. Daughter of Leo and Ernestine Boucher, she spent most of her early childhood tending to her father’s dairy farm. Leaving school at an early age, she worked hard in the shoe factories most of her life, providing for her family.

She married Lawrence Bushey on Jan. 16, 1971. She lived with her husband for many years at their lakeside home in Oxford, where she had many joyous occasions spent with family and friends.

She enjoyed going hunting and fishing, golfing and playing bingo, as well as making various arts and crafts. In later years, she lived at Great Falls Plaza in Auburn until 2010, when she moved to Florida.

She is survived by one son, Fern Labbe and wife, Sue; two daughters, Rita Mosher, Diane Trask and husband, Michael, 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, with another on the way; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Monique Jalbert; and one brother, Maurice Boucher.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Ernestine Boucher; husband, Lawrence Bushey; her oldest son, Rosaire Labbe Jr.; three sisters; and five brothers.

She was forever laughing, like a testament to staying young at heart. She will be deeply missed by all and will remain always in our minds and forever in our hearts, “For now she is an angel watching over us.”
