1953 – 2012

MEXICO — William R. “Bill” Bisson, 59, of Summit Street, Mexico, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, at his residence, following a long illness.

He was born in Rumford, May 20, 1953, a son of Edwin F. and Anne Marie (DesRoches) Bisson. Bill was educated in Mexico schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School, Class of 1971.

He was employed as an auto body mechanic and began his career at Bisson-Hebert, then many years at Toziers Auto Body in Peru, and most recently with Lee Auto in Auburn. Bill was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.

Surviving are his mother, Anne Marie Lyford of Lewiston; daughter, Kayla Matthews and husband, Clayton III, of Methuen, Mass.; a sister, Judith A. Bisson of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Edwin J. Bisson and wife, Brenda, of West Bath and Stephen J. Bisson of Toledo, Ohio; three grandchildren, Clayton Matthews IV, Gavin Matthews and London Matthews.

He was predeceased by his father.
