MERIDEN, Conn. — Patrick John “Rick” Cimato, 37, of Brooklyn, N.Y., died early Dec. 26, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born in Lewiston, June 19, 1975, the son of the late Anthony Cimato and his mother who survives him, Mary Ellen Delorme Gagnon. He was a graduate of Lisbon High School and the Rock and Roll University in New York.

Rick’s passion was music and he lived his life to the fullest, and fulfilled his dream of being a bad ass drummer in the heavy metal scene in the following bands; The Thinning Heard, Hickory Hawkins & The Panty Sniffers, Gods Green Earth and The Nassau Chainsaw Band.

His employment included working in the following clubs; The Whiskey Ward, Greenwich Village Comedy Club and The Grand Victory, all of New York City.

He is survived by his mother of Lisbon Falls, Mary Ellen “Chicky” and her husband, Ron Gagnon; his fiancé, Ashley Robinson, of New York, and formerly of Texas; two brothers, Kevin Funk of Lisbon and Nicholas Cimato of New York; two sisters, Patricia Mattox and her husband, Jason, of St. George and Katherine Sirois and her husband, Lyndon, of Minot; four nieces; three nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special Pekinese dog, “Carmine.”
