RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Ronald J. Roy of Rumford was celebrated on Tuesday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church with Fr. Robert Hayman as celebrant. Organist was Mark Belanger. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Music selections were “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “Fly Like A Bird,” “Hosea” and “Taps.” Special music “Boo Baby” and a reel were played by Jim Roy on Fiddle and Jody Kazregis on piano. Readings were given by Sally Arsenault, prayers of the faithful was given by his sister, Barbara Doherty and eulogy was given by his sister, Barbara Doherty. Gift bearers were Ray Doherty and Lisa Doherty. Organizations attending included members of the Mexico Lions Club, LeParesseux Snowshoe Club, Chisholm Ski Club and the American Legion and VFW. Interment in the spring with Military Honors will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed the services in the Parish Hall of the Church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
