LEWISTON — Ministry directors Rev. Doug and Sonia Taylor of the Jesus Party Urban Youth Outreach successfully wrapped up the 2012 Christmas season with lots of fun memories.

The children of the ministry took multiple field trips to area Christmas events. East Auburn Baptist Church reserved seats for the children to enjoy their Christmas musical and holiday light show. The United Pentecostal Church of Lewiston reserved seating for children to their annual Christmas concert and Christmas cookie buffet.

The Vineyard Church of Lewiston provided a petting zoo, hay ride, holiday treats and a church play for the children to enjoy. The Fellowship Church of Greene provided holiday financial help to the inner-city ministry to support the outreach.

The Optimist Club of Lewiston & Auburn adopted four families from the Jesus Party and provided them with toys, clothes and a Christmas party at Blake Street Towers with fun food, Christmas caroling and a visit from Santa.

The Taylors conducted a Christmas party at the Jesus Party Headquarters that was very festive and treated children to a ride to look at Christmas lights and sip hot cocoa. A kind man sitting in a local coffee shop saw the children and paid for them to all have a free cup of cocoa.
