AUBURN — Harold “Bud” Linwood Floyd Sr., 70, a resident of Sandy Lane in Livermore Falls, died peacefully, Monday, Jan. 21, at Hospice House of Androscoggin, with his loving family by his side.

He was born April 9, 1942, in Jacksonville, the son of Linwood Floyd and Grace (Langley) Floyd. Harold attended school in Wilton, Hermon and Jonesport. He served in the U.S. Air Force. On Aug. 23, 1959, in Greene, he married his wife of 53 years, Sandra Kimball of Turner.

Bud worked in local shoe shops and worked at Cohan Manufacturing in Livermore Falls, retiring when they closed the company. He enjoyed tinkering on cars and making metal car models.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Floyd of Livermore Falls; four sons, Harold “Buddy” Floyd Jr. and partner, Charlene Crowley, of Monmouth, Donald Floyd of Livermore Falls, Kenneth Floyd and partner, Paul Groleau, of Greene and Kendall Floyd and his wife, Jacqueline, of Livermore Falls; his daughter, Tammy Adams and companion, Richard Young, of Roxbury; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Linwood Floyd Jr. and his wife, Valerie, of Jay, Irving Dorr and his wife, Joy, of Farmington, Gary Langley of Massachusetts, and Raymond Floyd of Farmington; his sister, Linda Drouin and her husband, Walter, of Skowhegan and Florida; and his “best pal” his dog, “Pugs.”

He was predeceased by his parents, his son, Mark Floyd in 1984, sisters, Donna Churchill, Eva Pease and Maryann Knight, brothers, Kenneth Floyd and Maynard Langley and his stepmother, Gloria (Guptil) Floyd.
